Scalby Fair and Flower Festival is on this week (14th - 21st June 2009). The main event is on Saturday, the Scalby Fair Day, which is now in it's 32nd year.
This year's theme is "By The Seaside" and the fair will have over 50 stalls and displays along with a full programme of entertainment on Saturday afternoon including Morris dancing and a fancy dress competition. The flower arrangements from the flower festival will be on display and can be seen all weekend.
It takes about an hour to get to Scalby from Old Byland, so why not make your base one of the Valley View Farm Cottages.
