World Egg Day 11th October 2019

Today is World Egg Day which is celebrated around the world and helps to raise awareness of the benefits of eggs and their importance in human nutrition.

Fried, poached, scrambled or boiled which is your preferred way to eat them? Why not tuck into an egg for breakfast this morning to set off the day with a hearty meal.

Here at Valley View Farm we have some free range hens and we are hoping they will start laying soon, so we can enjoy fresh eggs.

No doubt we will have fun hunting out our girls nesting sites, as hens often like to find a cosy corner of a barn, the garden or in the undergrowth of a hedge, just to keep us on our toes!

Valley View Farm cottages are based on the family run farm, so if you would like to spend time in a rural setting on a family farm then book a break with us, we welcome guests to come and look at our animals.

Glorious Views On The Farm

Did anyone get a photo of the gorgeous sunrise this morning? If so we'd love to see your photos. We were busy feeding all the livestock and didn't have our phone handy for a photo this morning, but here's a photo from one of the girls in the office on their farm.
Although we didn't manage to get a picture here this morning, the view is always stunning.

We are also only a few miles away from Sutton Bank and the views there are spectacular too.

Why not get a way for the weekend or book a longer break, taking time to relax in our quiet and tranquil setting. Valley View Farm Cottages are a great place to take a break and there are plenty of walks to soak in the views.
