Flamborough Headland - Heritage Coast

Flamborough Head boasts a dazzling white chalk headland which lies on the East coast between Filey and Bridlington. The cliffs stand an impressive 400 feet highThis coastal location has much to offer with a lighthouse, built in 1806 that is 85 feet tall and stands atop a chalk cliff 170 feet high and the old Beacon light tower, dating from circa 1674.

Flamborough head is also a haven for wildlife. Bird watchers and visitors to the headlands can observe seabirds such as gannets and puffins which breed abundantly on the cliffs as well as oyster catchers, gulls, eider ducks and cormorants. There's also a wide variety of plant and other wildlife species.

As well as its distinctive white cliffs, there are coves, sea caves and stacks along the coastline for the visitor to explore.

It is free to visit Flamborough Head and there are a number of car parks with toilets in the main car park. There is also a shop and cafe.
