Easter Egg Hunts In North Yorkshire

With the Easter holidays fast approaching why not come to North Yorkshire and enjoy one of the many Easter Egg Hunts being hosted across the region.

Nunnington Hall - Come and join in the Easter weekend fun with a special trail for families. Trails cost £2.00 and participants get a free Cadbury egg and nature quiz to take away. Free children’s face painting is also available on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. From the 4 April 11am – 19 April 5pm.

Malton Easter Egg-Stravaganza -Family fun Egg Hunts, Egg Designs, unique flower cross in St. Michaels Church, and themed fancy dress and special shop windows will all add to the fun factor over the Easter Weekend at Malton from Thursday 9 Apr 09 to Monday 13 Apr 09.

Easter Egg Hunt at Ripley Castle - An Easter egg hunt in the castle grounds from Saturday 11th to Monday 13th April from 10am to 4pm. Price: Adults £8.00 Concessions £7.50 and Children £5.00.

Fairy Trail for children at Whitby Abbey - An Easter egg hunt with a difference. Concealed within the ruins of the Abbey are mini model fairies with a Easter surprise. Friday 10th April to Monday 13th April from 10am to 6pm. Price: Adults £5.50 Concessions £4.70 Children £2.80.

River Swale Easter Egg Hunt at Northallerton - Saturday 4 April 2009 at 2.30-5pm. From farm walks, egg decorating and face painting, to irresistible cakes and food tasting areas as well as a fancy dress competition with prizes for the best spring-themed costume. £1.50 entry for egg hunt. Easter Activities at Castle Howard - Over the Bank Holiday weekend from Friday 10th until Monday 13th April, families can enjoy lots of free activities. There will be an old-fashioned children’s fun fair, face painting, the Easter bunny handing out chocolate eggs and a free giant Easter egg hunt in the Walled Garden. Family tickets are available and these start at £23.00 (2 adults + 2 children), which effectively allows one child (4 to 16 years) in free. Under 4's go free.

Easter Egg Hunt At Hazel Brow Farm Visitor Centre - Eggs of all shapes and sizes, hens, ducks and geese, will be available for sale ready to decorate for entry into an Easter Sunday competition. The farm will be open over the Easter holidays on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays including Good Friday and Easter Monday from 11.00am – 4.00pm. There will be quizzes, competitions, a nature trail challenge and on Easter Sunday there will be a decorated egg competition which will be judged at 3.00pm. Entry is only £1.00 and all profits will go to the 'Send a Cow' scheme where the farm hopes to be able to donate a few cockerels!

Fountains Abbey - Easter trails, chocolate eggheads, face painters, story telling, children’s entertainer and Cadbury play equipment. The 12 April 11am – 4pm and 13 April 11am – 4pm.
