Help For Hereos Train York 27th March 2010

On Saturday, March 27, 2010 the Help for Heroes Train will arrive at the National Railway Museum, York. In aid of war hero’s charity, Help for Heroes, the NRM has donated steam engine 70013 Oliver Cromwell to drag the train along with 46115 Scotsguardman on a special excursion from Lancaster to York. See them both in steam, masquerading as 70048 The Territorial Army.

You can also see an amazing Chinook helicopter and Class 66 ‘Chinook’ onsite and enjoy FREE steam rides on replica Rocket. Admission Free

The Help for Heroes Train will arrive at York Station at 12:37. Follow a procession of pipers and Scots guards from the train up to the NRM.

Oliver Cromwell and Scotsguardman will be visible in the NRM South Yard from 14:15 until approximately 15:35.
