Today is bright and sunny and a fabulous day for getting those walking boots on and heading off for a day in this Spring weather.
To make the most of the Dales, and if you are new to walking, it is often a good idea to have a guide. You will be pleased to know that there are some free guided walks available to you which will be lead by a National Park Ranger. The next walk is on Tuesday 24th March and is at Cotterdale and Great Shunner Fell this is a 10 mile strenous guided walk with National park Ranger Matt Neale, crossing rough moorland with steep ascents and descents. Find out about Open Access rights, national trails and land management within the National Park. Plenty of chances to catch your breath at stopping points. Booking advisable, no dogs allowed.
