With places such as York, Leeds and Harrogate in travelling distance you are guaranteed a wonderful Yorkshire break. Here are a list of the top 5 places to visit in Yorkshire as recommended by Valley View Farm!

Whitby Abbey
With Whitby within a one hour drive from Valley View Farm, we thoroughly recommend a day at the historic port - enjoy world famous fish and chips on the waterfront and you can also take your furry little friend along for the adventure too.

For those ready to see the sites take the 199 steps up to the cliff where you can meet face to face with one of Yorkshire’s most famous landmarks, discover tales of Dracula and take in stunning views of the Yorkshire coast. Whitby is a marvelous coastal town for all times of the year, we thoroughly recommend!

York Dungeons
A great way to break up the day in York, perfect for kids who love blood, guts and gore! With many tales to tell this is a giant history lesson with plenty of fun to be had.  Come face to face with the Vikings of York, discover Guy Fawkes’ gun powder plot and spend some time in the Castle prison with none other than Dick Turpin. This is a great day out for the kids during the school holidays, and big kids are always welcome at the York Dungeons. Advanced booking is essential.
