- Skipton will host the Official Yorkshire Day Celebrations this year from Thursday 1 Aug until Sunday 4 Aug, a four day festival of Yorkshire celebrations, featuring a wide range of exciting events, from ‘A Night at the Opera' featuring over 100 nationally and internationally renowned musicians, to boat trips, the popular giant screen TV and even an urban beach at the Canal Basin.
- Castle Howard, York - Yorkshire Day Food Market Thursday 1st August 2013 10am-4pm in the Stable Courtyard. Entry is free Sample delicious local produce in the stunning surroundings of Castle Howard.
- ‘Ring of Roses Project' Thursday 1st August 2013 at 11:38am - which represents 1,138 years since the Ridings were first mentioned in the Anglo Saxon Chronicles.
- Yorkshire Day: The County's Finest Foods & Wines at the Talbot Hotel, Malton Thursday 1st August 2013, from 12pm Celebrate Yorkshire Day with the best wines and foods produced here in God's own county.
