What's In Season In September?

There is still an abundance of fruit and vegetables in season and ripe for picking in September.

Fruit in season in September:
Apples,
blackberries,
blackcurrants,
blueberries,
chestnuts,
crab apples,
elderberries,
loganberries,
pears,
plums,
raspberries,
redcurrants,
sloes,
strawberries,
walnuts.

Vegetables in season in September include:
Artichokes,
aubergines,
broad beans,
french beans,
runner beans,

broccoli,
cabbages,
carrots,
cauliflower,

cucumber,
