Antiques Roadshow In York 28th July 2011

I just wanted to let all you antiques lovers know that the Antiques Roadshow will be in York on Thursday 28th July 2011 from 9.30am - 4.30pm.

The BBC's popular show, hosted by Fiona Bruce, is coming to the Museum Gardens York, so why not dig out your antiques and bring them along to the experts on the day.

Admission free; refreshments will be on sale throughout the day; in the event of wet weather a marquee will be put up.

Museum Gardens York Garden Tour

Do you enjoy wandering about a public garden, if so then why not visit York and take a Museum Gardens tour on a Sunday from noon - 1pm.

Free Guided Tour Of York Museum Gardens

Do you enjoy a walk around a garden, if so then why not take the opportunity to have a free guided tour around York's Museum Gardens.

Harrogate Autumn Flower Show September 2010

The Harrogate Autumn Flower Show is on from 17-19 September 2010 for all you gardening and flower enthusiasts!

Things to look out for at the show:
  • Kitchen Garden Live is returning with seasonal talks and demonstrations.
  • Vegetable Championships, including the Heaviest Onion competition and the new Fruit Show.
  • The Fodder Cookery Theatre will have local chefs demonstrating with the recent harvest.
  • The Garden Roadshow will be answering your gardening questions and the garden photography competition is returning once again.
  • Plus competitions, entertainment, food and shopping.
We are just a 50 minute drive from the Harrogate showground, so why not combine a trip to the Harrogate flower Show with a break away here in the beautiful North York Moors.

Wartime Naval Battles Re-enacted Peasholm Park Scarborough

Wartime naval battles will be re-enacted on the lake in Peasholm Park this Summer, where 20ft replica battleships recreate the tension of wartime battles at sea.

Once the battles are over relax in the beautiful surroundings and take a stroll along the picturesque Tree Trail.

The wartime batttles take place until September 4th. The August dates include:

2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd (Mondays) 30th (Bank Holiday Monday)
5th, 12th, 19th, 26th (Thursdays)
7th, 14th, 21st, 28th (Saturdays)

Start time is 3pm.

Yoga For Kids At Harlow Carr August 2010

English Lavender Festival, Yorkshire 2010

Meet Head Gardener Nunnington Hall 7th June 2010

For all you keen gardeners, here's your chance to meet the head gardener at Nunnington Hall.
Come and meet Nick Fraser, the Halls Head Gardener and find out about a year in the life of a National Trust gardener, with some spring highlights and in particular our organic approach to gardening. You will then have lunch with Nick.

Nunnington Hall is a picturesque Yorkshire manor house set on the bank of the River Rye, with organic garden and an exciting programme of art and photographic exhibitions.

Yorkshire Lavender's Mint Weekend June 2010

So you love gardening and growing herbs? If so then why not head off to the Mint Weekend at Yorkshire Lavender.

The event will take place on Saturday 5th - Sunday 6th June 2010.
