I have read on the Farndale website that, "The warm weather last week has brought the Daffies on and they are now at their best and dependant on weather, and temperature should remain so for the next two to three weeks."
So if you are visiting this area then the Farndale daffodils are well worth a visit at this time of year.
It is believed that the daffodils were first brought to Farndale by some medieval monks from Rievaulx.

The Farndale daffodil walk is a moderate walk of approximately 7.1 miles. Click on this link for more information about the Farndale daffodil walk.
Farndale is less than a 40 minute drive from Old Byland so why not combine a stay at one of the cosy and comfortable Valley View Farm cottages and enjoy the spectacular views of the sheep on the hillside around Old Byland and the daffodils at Farndale.
