The Bluebell is Britain's favourite flower and now is the best time to spot them. Between April & May they usually bloom in the south first, spreading north towards Scotland as the spring progresses.
Did you know that around half of the worlds Bluebell woods are here in the UK? So get out looking now, they thrive in moist shady conditions and are an important part of our heritage making them well worth a visit.
Bluebell walks can be found at two sites near Valley View Farm. Rievaulx Terrace a National Trust wood and Stables wood a Woodland Trust wood, both near Pickering.
