Just wanted to let you know that there will be Superstitious Tales & Spooky Stories At Castle Museum from the 22nd - 30th October 2011, 11am - 4pm.
"Visit during the half-term holiday and enjoy some superstitious tales and spooky stories. There will be poems and stories suitable for the very young in a special room near to the Victorian street, as well as more chilling tales for older children in the York Castle Prison cells.

Visitors will be able to learn about the superstitions behind some of the objects in the collection. There will also be the chance to make a 'witch ball', which people traditionally placed in the windows of their homes to ward off evil spirits."
