Turner Trails, Yorkshire, Aysgarth Falls

Turner was one of Britain's greatest landscape artists and he visited many places in Yorkshire throughout his life and many scenes of Yorkshire can be seen in his work.

I have read on the Yorkshire.com website that "Turner visited Aysgarth on 28 July 1816 when making illustrations for 'A General History of the County of York' by Thomas Dunham Whitaker. He probably stayed that night in Aysgarth Village."

Why not follow in Turner's footsteps and visit Aysgarth Falls and for those of you with an artistic streak, why not paint or sketch the Falls as Turner did back in 1816!
