We have 6 holiday cottages on our family farm located in the rural village of Old Byland in the North York Moors, just 5 miles from Helmsley.

Why not spend a family Christmas at Valley View Farm in North Yorkshire. We have two cottages available that can be connected as the door between them can be open, so in both cottages we can accommodate up to 10 people.Holt Cottage sleeps up to 6 people and Drey Cottage sleeps 4 people, so if there are 10 of you why not think about making Christmas extra special with a festive break away.

Christmas services can be attended at the local Church or if you would like something a little more formal Ampleforth College is a short drive away where you will be able to listen to the beautiful and moving choir of the Benedictine Monks at the College.

Helmsley is just 5 miles away and is a lovely market town with quaint gift shops and York is not too far away with plenty of Christmas events taking place and the ice rink as well and don't forget Castle Howard! There are lots of pantos on in the area to entertain the whole family!

Many families, couples or individuals like to blow the cobwebs away after Christmas and get out for a Boxing Day walk.

There are some organised walks taking place in North Yorkshire or you can just get out into the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside and take a walk.

Here at Valley View Farm we are very lucky as there are many walks in this area to enjoy the beautiful countryside and stunning scenery that surrounds the farm and the village of Old Byland.
