Revisit the past and wartime England with the The Pickering War Weekend. Visit Pickering and the surrounding villages to learn about how we used to lived in the 1940’s.
Events taking place in Pickering and on the NYMR include:
- street parties and displays,
- special exhibitions at Beck Isle Museum, North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway and the Kirk Theatre.
Villages along the Railway line will also be holding events too.The event begins at noon on Friday when the flag is raised in Pickering and from then on many visitors arrive in period costume, so why not be one of them and join in the fun.
