The Ice Factor, York’s open-air real ice rink returns for another year but this time at a different venue. This year York's Christmas ice rinkis based at the Designer Outlet in Fulford. A village square, featuring log cabins and an illuminated forest with reindeer, has been created to give a scenic setting for the rink and the rink itself is 50% bigger.
Thursday night(18th November) was the official opening of the Ice Rink and the original Calendar Girls, switched on the lights on a giant Christmas tree in the middle of the ice and top junior skater Toni Murray, officially opened the rink with a wonderful display of skating.
The Ice Factor will be open from 9.30am until 9.15pm daily, except Christmas Day, until January 9. Tickets for a one-hour session cost £9.50.
