Autumn Steam Gala North York Moors Railway October 2010

Just wanted to let all you railway enthusiasts know that the Autumn Steam Gala "The Somerset & Dorset comes to Yorkshire!" is just around the corner and will take place the weekend of 1st-3rd October 2010.

Two former Somerset & Dorset based locos will be the star attraction at the Autumn Gala, inparticular the star visitor is expected to be 34070 Manston from the Swanage Railway. Manston is a Battle of Britain class locomotive and in this, the 70th anniversary year of the Battle of Britain, we are keen to emphasise the link.

There will be many more locomotives to see over the weekend and goods trains and/or shuttle trains will also be running at other times between Grosmont and Goathland during the weekend.
