The two day event will include;
- a market
- food theatre
- street entertainment
- live music.
The festival will be freely open to visitors to Whitby and is expected to attract up to 15000 people over the weekend.
Whitby has some of the country's most fantastic seafood and there are a wealth of restaurants, cafes and eateries providing wonderful seafood including the area's world renowned fish and chips which are rightly regarded as beyond compare.
Whilst on Twitter the other week I asked, "What's your best day out in Yorkshire?"
Anna Farmery from Engaging Brand replied, "Monkfish and chips at the Magpie at Whitby."
So there you go, get yourself over to Whitby for the Seafood event and why not make your base one of our Valley View Farm Cottages.
If you would like to book a stay at one of the Valley View Farm holiday cottages then you can book online by clicking on the link or alternatively book over the telephone on 01439 798221.

Whitby has a special place in my heart as it is one of the places that has retained its fishing town character and you just have to go to The Magpie...it is the best restaurant in the area. Not cheap but wonderful value...and let me know if you are around as I will probably going up there at the end of the month :)
Hi Anna,
Welcome to Valley View Farm Blog. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. The Magpie is great, nice for a treat when John and I are in Whitby.
Kind regards
Sally
One of my favourite UK coastal resorts - unfortunately, it's donkey's years since we've been able to visit. Really must get back some day!
