Scampston Autumn Plant Fair 6th October 2013

For all you plant lovers and garden enthusiasts I just thought that I would let you know that Scampston Autumn Plant Fair will take place on Sunday 6th October 2013 at The Walled Garden at Scampston.

Lots of specialist nurseries and stalls selling garden related items will be attending the Plant Fair. All of the stalls will have excellent plants and products for sale and refreshments will be available.

Scampston Hall is the home to the stunning Walled Garden and Grounds, the beautiful contemporary garden, the gardens only became open to the public for the first time in 2004, people visit from all over the world and it has been received with great acclaim.  Open for a short period during the late spring, and sitting in its own, more traditional gardens, the Hall is one of the finest country houses in Yorkshire. Lovingly restored by the Legards, it is a family home and contains many fine works of art, furniture and china.

Robert Parkin Exhibition Scampston Hall

A brand new exhibition of prints by wildlife artist and conservationist, Robert Parkin, has just opened in the Restaurant at Scampston Hall.

Robert will also be on site, sketching and talking to visitors from 11am on Wednesday 18th September and Sunday 6th October, and will be very happy to discuss his techniques, sources of inspiration and thoughts on wildlife on both days.

• Free access to Cascade Circuit Walk. 
• Free family activities and self-guided walks in the grounds of Scampston Hall between 10am and 4.30pm.
• There will also be two guided walks, lead by our Heritage and Learning Officer, Paul Mosley, one at 11.30am and one at 2pm.
• Opportunity to find out more about the conservatory project.
