Here at Valley View Farm we are very lucky as there are many walks in this area to enjoy the beautiful countryside and stunning scenery that surrounds the farm and the village of Old Byland.   Visitors to our cottages enjoy walking and exploring the local countryside throughout the year and some of the crisp winter days can be a great time to blow out the cobwebs.

Our our holiday cottages are based in the beautiful surroundings of Helmsley in North Yorkshire.  Based on a working farm, you will get a real taste for the countryside on a break away with us.   The North Yorkshire Moors is the perfect place for walking, especially if you have dogs as our cottages will accommodate all pets.

Form Cottage is the perfect holiday cottage for a single person, opening up onto the bright south facing courtyard.   The open plan living area incorporates a sitting room and dining area with open fireplace coal effect gas stove.  The cottage is well equipped with TV, freeview, DVD, video and an open fireplace with log effect fire.  The kitchen comes complete with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, cooker and washer/dryer.

Holiday Cottages For Large Groups

Here at Valley View Farm we will do our best to cater for large groups and can reserve multiple cottages for your party.

In particular two of our cottages link together and so offer the perfect layout for a group of up to 10 persons.

Holt Cottage sleeps up to 6 via 3 bedrooms and links through to Drey Cottage which offers a further 2 bedrooms.  Both of these cottages has full living, dining and kitchen facilities and have access to the bright south facing patio area.

We also accept pets and can cater for multiple numbers of Dogs if pre booked.  We can also offer a Kennel service should you wish to enjoy a day out without your dog during your stay.

Looking Forward To Ghost Walk In York

I always enjoy a trip to York and tonight I am going on a ghost walk around York.

I haven't done this before so looking forward to seeing York from a different point of view and seeing York by night will be nice too. I am sure we will learn abit of history mingled with some spooky tales.

Will let you know what I think about the walk - let's hope it's not to scary!
