Crop Circles, Sutton Bank

We have a new phenomenon that has appeared this weekend in a field at the bottom of Sutton Bank – crop circles – they really are quite spectacular and adds to the wonderful view from the top of Sutton Bank in my opinion, however the farmer whose lad it is may think differently about it.

On trying to find out a bit more about crop circles I unearthed this information that I thought you might find useful.

These unexplained designs in fields, usually in crops of wheat or corn, often appear overnight, Brain Hussey is leading crop circle expert and has theories that include:

Whirlwind or plasma vortex – this is when a vortex is formed high above ground and then when it hits ground level causes the design as the force is like a tornado.

Plasma gravitational theory – this is a complex gas and from reading the information about it, the simplest explanation is that it is like lightning and as such more of a light phenomena, that can cause these designs.

Earth energies – this appears to be caused by geomagnetic activity – ley lines, apparently, act as a vital current flowing through the earth – and it would be interesting to know where the ley lines are in relation to this field.

Extra terrestrial origin - one of the most popular beliefs and did we not all love ET? – these crop circles could be the indentation of the craft that brought aliens to this earth, they may have been interested in the flying club that is at the top of Sutton Bank!

Underground archaeological – not quite so exciting as alien life form but it is thought that the circles could be caused by some form of underground energy

Hoaxes – One man or woman went to mow……

Force of God – patterns created by some Godly act – however with everything that is going on in the world how God has time for this frivolity is beyond me.

Military experimentation – we do have military establishments close by but again I cannot see that any secret experiment is going to cause these pretty designs as a result – but there again I am not privy to what happens in the military.

Whatever the theory, crop circles will continue to be with us and cause us to stand and stare and wonder.

Come and stay at Valley View Farm Cottages so that you can spend many a happy hour observing and forming your own opinion about crop circles.
